The Ultimate Color block

Trends come and go with seasons but color block has been here to stay for quite a while now. Also as summer calls upon us like food to a starving person, bright hues are making a return to wardrobes everywhere. Frieda Pinto was recently seen wearing a color block outfit from the Burberry Prorsum A/W '13 collection, and I think she looked smashing in the outfit. So here's to more color literally and metaphorically in life with my own interpretation of the ultimate color block!

Hoot hoot hoot! Its the wise old owl calling! He wants his posse back :P

Well now I've got that clear, you must have a pretty good idea about what this post is gonna be about.
Looks like everyone's taken a liking to this feathery little nocturnal ave. Sorry, did I just say "liking" ? I mean INFATUATION. Yes, Owls are cute and I'd probably track you  by your IP address and hunt you down if you said you didn't own anything Owl. This is definitely probably the next big thing after lace and Geek glasses. If I could do the graphical representations and the pie charts and bar graphs I would, but nah, what's the fun in that eh?                            _

Okay that failed miserably, but nevertheless ( Wow, its actually ONE word :O ) , I pretty much wanna say, Owls are taking over the world. On every neck, ear, finger, wrist, top, pants, bag, book,sock, YOU NAME IT :O

As of this point in time, establishing the above, I'd like to do a lil' Style 101 on HOW to wear the Owls.
1. Wear ONE and only ONE Owl accessory at a time. You don't want to look like the lady with 65 cats.
2. When buying an Owl accessory, make sure your Owl's cute, 'cause some of them look really creepy o.O
3. If you're wearing Owl print, pair it with a solid shade in the other garment. (That's pretty much the basics of dressing, but I needed a 3rd point :P )

I don't own too many Owls, but I'd sure like to :P
Curse me for not bagging the Owl Ring,Bracelet and Earrings at China Town. Dayumm.
Its okay, I've got my peeps with the stash :D

Back from the Concrete Jungle

So maybe I've been slacking off way too much, and left my imaginary followers hanging for three months with no blog posts. Sorry :(  BUUUT. On the bright side, I got loadsa ideas now :D
SOOOOO, I just got back from the US (by just got back I mean its been a month :P ) and I picked up some shtuff there. Didn't shop toooo much, 'cause the millions of clothes in Forever 21 were waaaay too overwhelming for this pure soul :( I know, weird raight? o.O But anywaaay, since my sister decided to buy me a new wardrobe when she got back from Canada, I didn't have much shopping left.

More on why I was in the US, I was attending a conference with my fellow classmates along with 176 other people from all over the world :D Well, for a person who thinks she has good style, the minute I stepped outta the airplane and in the airport, I felt like even the ragpickers had more style than me -____-

The trip being conference based meant I got to wear formals (Wheeeee :P ) But yeah, just a look outta my lookbook for the 10 days since I could/did not succeed in pestering my friends enough for them to actually send me the million other pictures since my camera had a seizure on the first day -_-

Thanks to my utter dreaming and drooling at all the clothes at Forever 21 Times Square while my friends were busy picking out and trying on clothes, I didn't get to do the latter, thus relying on my sheer knowledge of imagining sizes. Well y'know what? I have zero knowledge in that field. So all I could do to fix the disaster was belting it. And may I say it looks pretty darn good :D

Again, excuse the picture quality, I don't know WHY the power always goes off when I decide to do something like this :@

Candid Capers : Episode 1

Welllllllll, I'm baaaack! =P
After much time, I finally got my ass out of the house and surprisingly, in the mall. Sooo, I was walking down the shoe section of a famous retail outlet and spotted her.I didn't exactly catch her name, but I wish I did :( She was extremely nice, and didn't think I was a creepy stalker, as I mustered up the courage to go ask her if she'd pose for me.(If you're reading this, thank you SO much! :) ) I absolutely LOVED what she was wearing, right from the powder pink cardigan with the cutesy little shopping themed prints on it, to the polka dotted skirt worn with a bow belt. Also, loved the shoes with the cute red bows on them, and same goes to the bag :D
Overall, I thought it was a very well put-together outfit and thought it was the perfect wear-to-a mall kinda attire, and also because it really stood out compared to the rest of the typical skinny jeans-floral tops- and high heels. Also because I'm a sucker for anything pretty in pink :D
P.S : Sorry for the bad picture quality, the power decided to go out right at that moment -.-

Why hello there :D
I hope this blog really helps all of you soul-searching-fashion-updating-scouring-the-city-for-the-best-clothes people. Yes, I'm one of them too, and I'm proud of it. Firstly, this blog is very Chennai and India - centered. Also, a prime feature of this blog is the variety you guys'll be entitled to.
